Post your BNA Member to Member Experience here

Postby rheicel » Mon May 27, 2013 7:17 pm

Hoping that I am not duplicating any existing topic here. Basically, this will allow all BNA buyer to give feedback to any Member to Member sale or trades. It alarms me as 2 out of 5 member-member transaction I had here ended up below a good experience (At least in my own scale of Satisfaction)
So who is going to share first?

lunar_c (carbon fork, alloy post) and RobM (swap shock pump for cassette) are both excellent in my experience, providing great communication and ensuring goods were properly packaged and promptly mailed.

Thanks guys!

I'm yet to have anything but good experiences with member to member transactions on this forum. There's a few I forgotten about so in the interests of fairness I won't list any names yet.

Good to know Bob, hopefully you can keep the good track. More good experience will surely make Member to Member sale/swap more popular. Meaning more cheap upgrade parts for everyone here in BNA.

I've bought a bunch of stuff off these forums and so far only had good experiences. Here are some (I think all?) off the forum members which I have bought something off.

LG - bought a frame off him. Came packaged up really well and he even cleaned it before sending it! Really pleased with the frame until the fork cracked :( Not his fault at all though.

cev - Ultegra 6700 brakeset, shipped quickly and exactly as described.

derek594 - Bought a set of (brand new) pro-lite braccianos off him and they are excellent. Nice bloke, went by and picked them up off him personally.

jjcp - Bought a set of (essentially) brand new speedplays off him, quick and easy transaction, picked them up as well.

petal665 - I purchased his Cannondale frameset, which, when he found it had a crack before sending it, refunded the money asap without question and was very apologetic - Fantastic guy to deal with - full credit to him for his honesty and integrity.

I've both bought and sold stuff AND received freebies via PM when I expressed issues/needs/wants in various posts. No issues at all! It's a very helpful friendly forum and I'm trying to keep it that way by doing my part to help as well.

Just to share to you guys my recent experience with this seller. Let us call him RK.

Here is the BNA Member to Member Ad of the item:

viewtopic.php?f=25&t=63670" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I am only posting this now after PayPal have decided in my favour.

TWT found out that RK is now selling this in Gumtree:

http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/melbourn ... 1020097447#" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Just beware, this item is in bad condition.

neoppg and celeste boy are my most recents. Mega brownie points to both fine gentlemen.

I honestly can't remember a bad trade of the dozens I've done here. Possibly good luck but there haven't been many bad ones I've heard about.

You are right Shaun. This is a forum of mostly honest people. There will always be some bad luck but those will be rear in my opinion. Some people here only ask for shipping with goodies for free.

Just leaving some more positive feedback, this time for open roader.

Having just received my Salice glasses, can safely say that they are precisely as described and in great condition. Excellent communication was had throughout the transaction and couldn't recommend him more highly.

Ive had all good experiences with the members her

pawnii - Helped out with some freebies!
dayne - Grabbed a rare vintage CF frame off him for a great price.
hitchhiker - Freebie to help finish off my Cadex.
metalrideroz - Easy communication and transaction for a stem
saro28 - Nice guy, grabbed a bike off him from his place after a retro ride
familyguy - easy trade of crankset for cassette
Johnj - In the process of grabbing my shifters, but we ride together on the retro rides
scotto - Shared postage and even delivered pedals for me.
LG - Nice to have a chat with and grabbed pedals off him
rollin - Quick transaction for a seatpost, still awaiting item though
ldrcycles - Helpful dude giving me a good price for 6400 brifters

There are prob a few others, just cant think of them now. Looking back, Ive dealt with so many people, and theyve all been good. Some flakers, but they didnt enquire much.

Like to give kudos to Matt1986 who lent me some pedals while I was riding a borrowed bike after mine got flogged.

Yep, total stranger lent me pedals. Even gave me a prepaid post bag to return them. How nice is that.

Apart form that several other members who I've traded with..every single one a gem.

Thanks to all. This is a good place.

Even more positive feedback, this time for donny70.

Items were exactly as described and pictured, promptly posted, even turning up wrapped meticulously in a nice warm fabric to keep the winter chill off the items

Thanks Donny, absolute pleasure!

Most folk I've dealt with have been super impressive. I've only had one experience here where I was dis-satisfied - mostly because I didnt properly investigate the condition of the goods before hand and took a plunge - anyway the seller redeemed themselves later.

As a seller, I try to make sure I give as much honest information and document how good or bad condition something is in before I sell.

You'll often find behind the scenes some people are really top shelf. Some I've met face to face in transactions and again - really nice guys to chat to.

Good experiences I've had as a Buyer, Seller and Swapper (My PM box is the extent of my memory)

Buyer:
Petal665

Seller:
Bob_Tas
Rheicel
Cev

Swapper:
