No a training ride in preparation for the Tour de Tweed races next month, checked out the course for the 2nd road race and then rode overto the TT and Crit courses...gonna be a weekend of hurt

Similar distance with 600meters less climbing :P

Hope everyone got in some quality rides.
It was a pretty nice day.
Went for a ride from Northgate to Wellington Point and back. A bit of exploring.
Great!

Was Queensland-born Pro Cyclist Adam Hansen training in Queensland this summer just gone, judging by his amazing wet weather bike handling skills ?
He went on to win stage 7 of the Giro yesterday.
Many others dis not handle the conditions as expertly as he did.
check it out, you don't often see highlights as action-packed as this. http://www.sbs.com.au/cyclingcentral/vi ... ts-Stage-7

In regard to the rain from 8/9/10th June................

That's Enough!

Did get a good MTB ride in though, once wet, stay wet... :D
Tuesday 11th shoes still not drying at all. The GLW not very impressed with the grit in the washing, or was it the forgotten banana skin.

If you don't get those shoes dry soon they are going to take on a very very special aroma.

That's why I have a mudguard equipped fixed gear for commuting and riding in the wet. It and myself stay a little cleaner plus there is less to wear out and clean when I do get round to doing it. :)

Nice bunch (three of us idiots) ride this morning. Headed out on wet roads at 5 am, no problem. Then it started to lightly rain, no problem. Then around Cooroy the fog rolled in, no problem just couldn't see much except for your shadow in the fog from the lights of the guys behind. Then BANG. I nearly crapped myself. The guy behind me must have clipped something that cut the sidewall of his front tyre and it blew big time.
Luckily it happened when it did on the climb side of the hill because 100 metres further on he would have had a 50K face plant.

Just to top off the enjoyment of the ride it started raining again, all the way home.

Now it's clear skies and sunny but showers and thunderstorm predicted for my day off tomorrow.

The sun is out!! Sweet beautiful mercy the sun is out!! I've been going absolutely barmy stuck inside but now the weather has cleared (though looking at the forecast, dunno how long for  ) I got out for a ride round Mt Ninderry, lovely weather.

P.S. Happy Birthday luke :) .

P.P.S. That sounds nasty duds, glad to hear there wasn't an ambo ride in it for him.
