Well, here's one for the Colnago serial number theorists.......
Best guess, based on the seat stays, curved fork, and early decor(ish) paint is that it's an 89-90 model. But who knows......
25..... is that 25 flagons of Sangiovese consumed in the workshop this week?
or the second of five frames we were supposed to make today, but we stopped working to drink Sangiovese at 10am, and well........ 2 out of 5 'aint bad for a days work.
Anyone got any better theories?

Nearly where I want it, Black Ritchey post, 1-1/8" adaptor/Bontrager stem/HUUUUGE ergo bars, crappy bontrager tyres gone, Chorus aero post, Cinelli XA, 64/44 Giro bars, Cinelli Kaleido tape and hatorskins (soon to be Challenge Paris Roubaix) in place. Would like to rebuild wheels with some Open Pro CDs or hard ano TB14s.

Looking for a 58cm ETT and have a preference for the pale blue.

I suppose you've seen the 57cm Tecnos on ebay - 9 hours to go at the time of me writing this response. The Tecnos is 1cm smaller than you want but I ride a similar (58cm) size to you and I have a 57cm Tecnos that I must confess to loving - I seem to fit on it very nicely.

The Tecnos was the lightest steel frame Colnago ever produced but many think it had a rider weight restriction on it. This it did have very early on but was lifted later on in the Tecnos production period. I'm over 200lb and I find the ride to be fantastic - I do notice the light weight of the frame.

The frame has the same lugs as the Master models and this one (for sale) has a chromed Precisa fork. The main tubes are 'shaped' for strength but not in the same way as the Master's. The tubing is quite thin which gives it it's weight saving. I think they were built over a 5 or 6 year period finishing production around 2001.

…..and it's blue.

I think it's worth a look.

There is also a Master Olympic on ebay as well but the fork is different. Again, blue and 58cm in size. It is a bit more expensive than the Tecnos though.

I have looked at that Master Olympic a few times.
The only thing I would want from that listing is the frame itself and even the frame would need to be CHEAP.
All of the chromework on it needs re-doing from what I can see, and from what he has said.

I am happy to sit and stockpile parts until I can get what I want which from the current geometry chart is a 60cm C-T seat tube and a 58cm ETT.
I am in no hurry to jump at the first thing I see (unless it is exactly what I want).

The slower I ride this one the more pleasing the ride. It's my outdoor armchair - just tooling along taking in the views, not working too hard, a good thinking time bike....

I reckon it should be ridden much faster as it would prove to be a danger on the road. The longer it's out there, the greater the chances of other riders 'craning' their necks to have an admiring look which might lead to crashes. Have you noticed a trail of destruction behind you when you're out, riding this beautiful bike?
