I've checked Streetview, and that looks like a good option. See you tomorrow.

Sounds good John. By the looks there's a couple of timber outlets there, and an off-street parking area where the path starts. See you in that vicinity. I guess we'd be there about 0725. You'd have Andy's number, anyway...

Just a suggestion, from the timber supplies place, you can follow the t-way bike path without having to ride on fitzwilliam rd all the way to toongabbie station. The path brings you out near toongabbie bowls club, not far from the station. I'd like to ride with you, but don't have a retro bike!

The weather wasnt too bad. Freezing cold morning, and it only sprinkled when we hit Westmead, then everyone broke off.

Andy and I did 55km all. Nice ride albiet cold and pulled my legs 5 mins away from the car. Anyway, good meeting you 'Isabella' and seeing everyone else once again.

Ah, I missed taking pics of Paul's and Andy's bikes. And word of advice for action shots. Switch over to Tv mode(Shutter priority) and scroll the top wheel til you get the number 1000. That shutter speed will freeze us coming past you. If you want motion blur, how a slightly slower shutter speed and track the rider. BUt that needs some practice before itll be good.

Great to meet Claire and Josh. Serendipitous, as although I'd recce'd the route online, they managed to 'ease' navigation on the ground with their local knowledge. :) Always easier on a map; and I think I may have earned the nickname Lara Bingle by missing the Chandos Rd turn-off, while trailing the pack.
Saturday was a good choice, weather-wise.
Picton sounds interesting, Andy. Saw some likely courses on your jaunt a few weeks back?

Hey guys, I felt really privileged to ride with you today, seeing as my 'retro bike' was a carbon fibre model, all of 2 years old! Special thanks to Andrew who helped me with my puncture and to Paul who worked out the route. Thanks to all for the group ride experience, i really appreciated it. Hope to see you all again for the next meet.

Was great to have you along, isabella 24. There's a rotating bunch of faces along for these rides; always good to see new ones. :) And thanks for the navigating. 8)

Thanks for the photos John, and for helping me with the puncture Andy. I've never had such a fantastic pit crew!

Ill prob lead the next ride. Free parking is available in a big carpark right by start, or theres Canley Vale station right there as well. They will go by Dunc Gray Velodrome, and onto a crit track. Each lap is about 800m, so doing more than one can increase the distance

~35km with me knowing the roads quite well. Some road riding through Chester Hill, but the roads are very quiet, more so at that time in the morning. Break can be at Auburn near the Botanic Gardens, and a stop at Hai Duong, or similar restaurant at the end.

EDIT: http://app.strava.com/activities/64846401" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Just trailed the course. Couple wrong turns, but smooth sailing overall. Spotted Andy near Dunc Gray at 4oclock, heading home in his ute. Road riding around Granville was kinda busy, but then again that was peak time.

Will have a break at Dunc Gray, as there's a massive hill just before it.

Now, Id prefer the 13/14th but can do 20th/21st also. Whats best?

Looks like a good circuit, Quang. The later date(s) may be preferable for me, but if there's a few opting for the earlier one, that's probably fine as well.

Looks good Quang, nice to see you have been out testing the route. By the time I ride there & back it will be a nice 90 k ride.

13th looks like it is out for me, but I may be able to arrange a leave pass on one of the other days

Yeah I've got the Trial exam period from the 29 July to 13 August. So that is why I'm wanting either of the above 2 weekends.

Sad to say, I'm unavailable for either date. Have fun. I will be in Nowra on the 20th, coming last in a team time trial.
