1:20 is the easiest ascent, probably followed by the wall.

I havent done them but I think devils elbow is steeper than the ascent from montrose, but its a longer climb from montrose

after you do it a few time you get better and so does your ability on the flats
The road from Montrose up to Olinda is much easier than the wall, it's longer but there are none of the real steep bits and once you get a rhythm going it's a pretty easy ascent. I did 3 ascents of Mt Dandenong on Saturday, 1 in 20, Montrose to Olinda, and The Wall and there's no doubt which one was the hardest of those 3! Not done it for a while, but the Devil's Elbow is harder than The Wall.
I have been a bit slack and had the flu over the lats couple of months and I am working myself back to my usual saturday ride of 1:20, down perrins, up the wall to sky high and the down to montrose and home. I am looking at doing the montrose ascent, the devils and lastly inverness leading up to summer. I aint a natural climber at 110kg but I like the challenge and where gravity isnt my friend on the way up, it certainly helps on the way down :D

I used to do mainly flat riding but I enjoy climbing now and last summer did donna buang, lake mountain and buller from mansfield. Next summer the target is all of those again and add falls and or hotham into the mix

I posted 32min on sunday but my excuse is that I had already done the tourist road up from montrose and the wall before hand, I was felling it by the time I got to the 1 in 20

Nice run Mexican - I'm of the opinion that's a pretty solid time up the 1/20.

Like most, I can be anywhere between 20-30mins depends how much work I've done getting there...

I'm astounded how some of the guys (on Strava) can get up there in sub-14s.
They must be cycling gods.

Thanks Dimis, for me that was solid time but I did have 2 guys and a woman zoom pass me like I was stationary. They were seriously flying up the 1 in 20.

That'll do it. Unless you take it super easy up montrose and the wall. Then you might even PR on the 1/20 :-). I went the opposite way (slow 1/20, slow devil's elbows) and ended up with a PR on the wall without really trying. Not too hard though, as I've only climbed a few times.

I have this crazy idea to try a few Terrys repeats - nice little loop down Sherbrooke to Belgrave and around the top again. Each time I get to Belgrave though, I look up the hill and think maybe when I've lost a few more kgs...

terry's scares me, as does inverness  . I struggle up those kind of gradients

I did a pb up the montrose climb by default, it was my first time, my wall time wasnt good, that little bit up monash avenue caused some pain. I was feeling sore on Monday, couldnt go for my run
