Clearly London is doing something right, they are now reporting that 25% of road users are bicycles

From the 4 photos in the gallery, I notice two things;
1. Only one rider without a helmet
2. Not that many female riders

With participation rates like that it's only a matter of time before the "I hate bicycles" tribe dies out.
Seriously, 25%!? When there are other places hoping to get to 5% that is absolutely extraordinary.

"the Mayor has budgeted £913 million for cycling schemes" - That is > AU$1.5 billion
We'd be lucky to even get 5% of that spent of cycling infrastructure across our entire country...

when you live in London, driving a car isn't really an option. It might also help that Boris is a big cycling fan himself http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree ... ycling-fun
