Somehow whatever I do in the shed follows me back in the house ... so bike grease and marks end up on the couch, in the bed, on the floor, on the door frames, wherever I go. I don't notice this but my Mrs. does. She has suggested more than a few times I need an outside shower

My problem's definately paint. No matter how little I use it ends up on my clothes so I have more very good quality work clothes than I probably should. My wife's given up.

I'd like to endorse Albury Electroplaters. I just got back all my parts from my Speedwell Super Club and the chroming is beautiful. Everything looks brand new and I can't fault any of it. Now I need to get frame painted equally good to match.

None that I could find any good recommendations for so that's why I boxed up my stuff and sent it to Albury.

Sure, it wasn't cheap but this bike will be a keeper so It doesn't matter to me. Just over $400 including postage got me chroming done on the cranks, chain ring, handlebars, seat post, front and rear brake callipers and levers, headset, pedals, hubs, bottle cage and fittings. As well they polished up the stem to better than new condition. I'll get a few pics taken and post them up.

Just curious how much that was without the postage and whether the quote was done per item, or as a bulk lot? I have family in Wodonga I need to visit at some stage this year, and while I'm there could have a couple cinelli stems, a set of bars, and other bits and pieces done.

Without splitting hairs too much lets call it about $400 even for all of my parts (not just the ones above) and that included the polishing, not chroming, of the stem. What I did was box up all my stuff and then I sent it off to them. When they got it they did me a quote and I then gave them the go ahead to do the job. If it was going to be too much I would have just got them to send it back. I had previously used a local place here in Sydney but his work was quite frankly crap and he charged me $120 for a set of bars and a seatpost. I'd seen Rebilda's post in this thread about Albury so I thought I would give it a shot. I'd definitely use them again

Just wondering if any Canberrans have used and/or can recommend Canfab powdercoating in Fyshwick ?
Looking to do a large frame , was quoted $70 -120 which seems pretty good.
Cheers...Chris
When in doubt......mumble.

Sorry this is so far down the track - did you go ahead with the powdercoat at Canfab?
