Somehow whatever I do in the shed follows me back in the house ... so bike grease and marks end up on the couch, in the bed, on the floor, on the door frames, wherever I go. Sure, it wasn't cheap but this bike will be a keeper so It doesn't matter to me. Just over $400 including postage got me chroming done on the cranks, chain ring, handlebars, seat post, front and rear brake callipers and levers, headset, pedals, hubs, bottle cage and fittings. Just curious how much that was without the postage and whether the quote was done per item, or as a bulk lot? Without splitting hairs too much lets call it about $400 even for all of my parts (not just the ones above) and that included the polishing, not chroming, of the stem. What I did was box up all my stuff and then I sent it off to them. When they got it they did me a quote and I then gave them the go ahead to do the job. If it was going to be too much I would have just got them to send it back. I had previously used a local place here in Sydney but his work was quite frankly crap and he charged me $120 for a set of bars and a seatpost. I'd seen Rebilda's post in this thread about Albury so I thought I would give it a shot.
