Cyclosportif at Swan Valley
Postby CXCommuter » Thu Jun 27, 2013 3:07 pm
Anyone doing the TTT this weekend. This will be my first semi-competitive event in about 6 years (ex DH MTBer) and on a road bike ever and getting a little nervous about our team being passed over and over by others. Thankfully I will have others to blame if we do .

Stay left
Its a loop circuit so it gets really really congested and you aren't allowed to ride over the centre line.
Rule of thumb is if you are slow stick to the left - and there is always someone faster!!

The trouble with jogging is that the ice falls out of your glass

Well, did okay in the end but our official time will be carp. We had two flats (same rider), not knowing the first flat destroyed the tyre which bulged 30dd km later, fixed with a patch and we got home with a 34km/h average (riding time), the flats will put us way lower. Was a few occasions where peletons formed where 50 or 60 riders converged but didn't hold anyone up and was only held up once or twice. A good day but freaking cold first up.

Saw a couple guys at the sides fixing flats. Sorry to hear! I was with the Up & Go boys.
