I have a spare pair of NOS dual-pivot RSX calipers, and it's fleetingly crossed my mind. But instinct says to restore what's on it.jbchybridrider wrote:The Windcheater's awesome, hope you keep it original.
Tomorrow I'll see what extra length there is in the stem, as I think I'll need it up a tad. But I can still stay era-ballpark if I have to.
Being hardly ridden, it's pretty spotless, but there must have been a paint flaw, as there's a small surface/bubbly rust area on a chain stay. My thought is to ease the paint off where it's bubbled, hit with a little Ranex, sand, then try and get a can made up at Auto-One. Should be able to get close enough. How would others deal with this?
