Quang you've cheated death once...Time to get out of the dodgy carbon fibre game...QuangVuong wrote:That carbon frame is nice and cheap. What size you guys reckon it is? Looks to be 50-55cm?

Yeah shifters look shimano, the callipers are definately campag single pivot and agree the cranks don't look campag. Pretty funky frame geometry.LugNut wrote:I like to see a bike that has been stored in the small - small ring combination too, you just know that that derailleur spring is as sharp as evert-rav wrote:http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/gold-coa ... 1022760545

Also those shifters look Shimano 600 and I don't think that the crankset is Campag - perhaps a mixer?

I'd be interested to find out more if you're out that way. I like the idea of being able to take a spare saddle on ridest-rav wrote:Repco Superlite, maybe a 56?

So I don't know whether this pile of rust is even remotely reasonable for the asking price:

Happy to assist in collection/storage/freight if it's a bargain and anybody wants it.

I've sold two rideable, with surface rust dragsters for around $100. One 3spd boys with a fair bit of surface rust on chrome, one girls single speed in great condition for similar. Seems to be a normal price for a working, reasonable condition bike. $65 is probably a bit much for that, let alone $165barefoot wrote:I don't know much about dragsters, except that people pay way more for them than I ever would.

I'd be interested to know what they went for on Scamells. That blue 5 Star is a thing of beauty, it's another one for the "if I wasn't buying a house" list.peterk wrote:Didn't waste any time. Auctioned on Saturday, now on The Bay!!!Clydesdale Scot wrote:late notice

I've never bothered to learn the Columbus steel range. I didn't buy it, just had it on my watch list, anyone from here?

Yeah, I would have been happy enough if I'd picked it up, but there would be a lot of work cleaning that one up.cray- wrote:Concorde with Columbus SL in a bit of a rough state. Went for $201, bargain or fair price?

Imagine it was a mint or NOS frame, possibly $800 or $1000.
As it is $150-$200 seems fair. Spend $400+ on decals and a paint resto, and you are ahead, but it is a lot of fussin' about.
