Do you mind revealing the cost of this S5?

I'm considering upgrading, had a look at one of the lbs here in Singapore... $12800SGD... ($9855aud)

Thanks,
The retail for my Ultegra Di2 is $6300, of-course there is a saving if you shop around.

Wow, that's a classy machine. What rims are they? I really like a fine set of low profile rims on the Cervelo's.

They are Chinese wheels. Not bad for their price I guess!

I did a hilly 200 on the R3 this weekend and was really amazed with how it rode during the day, and how I felt after the ride was a revelation :) . I'm very impressed with the frame, it's a great bike :D

Hello Folks,

New to bikes after 30 years. Yes, THREE DECADES. It does happen. Raced as a teenager usual routine = cars, motorbikes, chicks, complacency, family, work etc etc and lo and behold you are middle aged.

I found this section of BNA and looked. I have a R3 SL Chorus and other carbon bits and pieces. The black and white version.

I bought the bike in complete naivety - it looked sexy. I thought that Cervelo were Italian I really had no idea. I could not even pronounce Ksyrium correctly, what is a Gatorskin? I was initially intested in this fella's Cannondale Super 6. Anyway I took it for a ride around the block, shifted well, felt solid and looked good. I felt good. Real good. Fitted well so I bought it - first bike I looked at or even rode.

Am I a happy boy? In my very limited experience of four weeks, Does this thing move. Yes, I am happy. Could this be love? Perhaps, lust with potential - well yes, these things grow on you.

See you out sometime.

Cheers,

Seanny.

Cheers, I quite like it, less gloomy than my black/white cannondale.
Oh and joy this thing handles! It's liek a biek is supposed to be, unlike my syanpse which was...terrible.

They are a revelation in the handling dept that's for sure.

How are people attaching Garmin speed/cadence sensors to the chain stays? I don't seem to be getting mine tight enough becuase of the square shape of the stay and after a while they move around - I've snapped one in half and the other one fell off yesterday.

With zip ties... Protect frame with tape, use rubber mount, zip tie to frame... Pull very firm with pliers... If u follow this It won't move unless u want it to...

+1

And try to get the better quality white, almost clear zip ties, they seem to be more flexible so should conform to the stay shape better

Thanks Guys,

I've tried it again and used a bit of inner tube to increase the contact area of the sensor against the flat top of the chain stay, pliers to tighten the clear zip ties as hard as can be. Hopefully it will stay there.

Hmm. I'd heard that black zip ties are generally preferred as white degrade more quickly when exposed to UV.

Your probably right.

I've just found that the better quality white/clear zip ties are slightly more flexible (the standard white zip ties you get from mitre10 etc are pretty crap) so I thought would have a better chance of staying tight.

In any case, the sensor stayed in place this morning, so I'm looking forward to a few more rides before the zip ties succumb to uv :) .
