Hi All, i just picked up a new Cannondale BB5 to commute on and i want to change the wheelset to a set of FFWD 50mm clinchers (just because i want to).
The bike has hydraulic brakes so does this mean i can't plonk on any old road wheelset? Or can i buy a road wheelset and get adaptors or whatever to fit the discs to and it's all good?

You'll be locked in to using Cannondale's Lefty front hub.
You'll need a rear hub that has the correct width (135mm? - most road wheels are 130mm).
The rear hub would need disc mounts (most MTB hubs) but should otherwise be fairly free to choose. You can't adapt a road hub to fit a disc brake on it.
The rims and spokes would be free to choose, as long as the spoke/hole count and length matches
