This is a rare bird (in this size anyway!). I was holding this card close to my chest, but I'm going to have to pass. If it were a complete bike, or closer to home...

Actually it might well be original. Back in the 70's there were some pretty low end bikes produced with the Eddy Merckx transfers. I always liked the orange ones as a young teenager but was dissapointed to find that my hand-me-down Claud was way better quality than the new Merckx bikes that were within my price range at the time.

Definitely not in "mint" or "perfect" condition, more like very good, IMO a "perfect" bike doesn't have rust on the brakes and rear derailleur.

It's at least third time around for that one, same starting price, same 0 bids.

Pity several of us had already passed on it at the Geelong tip shop before he got to it. Even my inexperienced eyes could spot it as a fake at 20 paces, probably only cost him $25-$30 but wasnt even worth it for the running gear.
I sent him an ebay message asking "is that the bike from the tip shop?" haha

I thought he must have been referring to the vegetation around it, or perhaps the herbs he had been smoking.

Bargain!

"I HAVE SEEN UKAI RIMS SELL FOR 850 DOLLARS"
Hold that Rene Herse auction, I've got a few Ukai rims to cash in!

'Might have', that's good enough for me!

Obviously collectors of the Toyosha bikes know what they are buying becuase everyone else needs more than one blurry photo to see what they are getting.

Maybe he's been selling stuff in other currencies. 40,000 rupee?

For better or worse they might sell it to some unsuspecting fool who'll believe all the hoopla. And on it goes..........the price is set.

I bought this frame about 5 years, was badged as a Kojima. I proceeded to sand it back and give it classically !! BAN ME NOW FOR SWEARING !! paint job.
This bike has had many incarnations since I've owned it. Roady, single speed, even set it up as a TT bike at one stage.

This bike would suit a large man. Preferably with side burns.

That moment when the prose goes beyond flowery to gibberish "Photographic ethnicity of the signing is internally mounted on both wings of the back and adjacent to the glass head and helmet including the helmet information from the box I came in."

It's kind of interesting but even at $500 I struggle to see any value, $5,000 isn't going to happen, surely.
