TW - I saw what you did last year, so for me to have any chance I must pile on the k's while I can. Last year was a feeling that I must do the 45 k's, this year it is like I must do 100+ a day. Even when I am feeling rooted, I am still forcing myself to do 50 minimum to work and 50 on the way home. It is really sad in a way.TailWind wrote:Hmm, this thread's looking a bit stale, so let me refresh it by adding that I've just broken through 5000km for the year. Man, it feels like it's taken forever to get here, but that's probably because gretaboy is piling on the miles at a high rate of knots
I would love to drop down to around the 90 kilo mark, but with all the exercise I am constantly hungry and am constantly feeding my face, but I do limit how much junk I have, actually barely have any junk food. Even getting to the 95 kilo mark would be great.

Haha, I know what you mean...same here, the additional mileage has allowed me to indulge in some of my high-calorie weaknesses, like my home-brew beer, so I'm just too scared to take it easy now, lest I pile on the pounds - so have to pile on the mileage insteadgretaboy wrote:TW - I saw what you did last year, so for me to have any chance I must pile on the k's while I can. That should get me back into the top ten. Still way behind the kms I need to for a 5000km year. Time to get the head down and hte tail up.

i think climbing will be a bit light on tomorrow at least (will see how the wound on the knee feels). don't feel like mashing it up coot-tha at the moment if that helps. would love to be able to do my brookfield ride on friday. but it's a wait and see game.gretaboy wrote:damm...no chance of catching you in the climbing

Especially with the weather warming up. Would mean a huge effort however, and I have been lacking in motivation the last two weeks to the point I have dropped back from a 100k roundtrip to now just doing the basic 90 k trip.
I was planning to include other exercise items into my life, but my riding OCD is starting to kick back in. If I do give it a crack, I will be pissed if I dont get to 20k however
