Zipp 30 or RS80 Carbon ?

hi all looking at new rims was looking at the Shamano RS80 carbons but the Zipp 30's look pretty good to , anybody running them ?
not for racing just fitness just want to upgrade from the OEM rims that came with my bike (Fulcrom Comp's)

Can't comment on the Zipps but I've got RS80 C24s, done over 4,000km on them now with no problems whatsoever, they're significantly lighter and stiffer than the R500s they replaced.

The shimano hubs are generally pretty awesome...

How about alloy zipps that got so hot that the rim strip melted into all the spoke holes and the tube exploded... Lol.

might even consider Fulcrum 3's they look to be pretty good also how would they compare to the other 2 from my original post ? prob should add i am 90kg's

I've got zipp 404 carbon clinchers for everyday use. I'm pretty impressed with them. Haven't noticed any of the braking issues people mention with carbon wheels. They roll really nice too...

i am 100kg and have been running the rs80's for over 2 years now, no issues at all

I know two people who have got them, both have had VERY EARLY hub failures. neither would recommend them. neither are heavy, both do big kms.

to late i ordered a set of Fulcrum Zero Dark edition today , there out of stock in Aust atm so 2 to 4 week wait which is ok i can pay them off while waiting lol , sux to hear your 2 mates had probs i hope i don't but everybody i spoke to highly recommended them & guys i know that run them love them
