I would say TVG, considering his startling efforts in the individual TT and Alpe d'Huez, is really a single player and not a team player.
He is probably only a team player if he is the key person in the team and everybody is supporting him..
thanks KL

AFAIK he's going to lead the team for the Giro... I can't see Porte leading Sky at the Tour any time soon... Froome has already stated he wants to dominate for the next 6-7 years ....AUbicycles wrote:Does Porte get to play tag team and get his turn at the yellow next year or will Wiggo be back.

It won't be... Next year you have: Froome, Contador, Nibali, Quintana and not to mention the restPurt wrote:uh, this could be a boring decade. Hopefully he stays well clear of the giro.jamesn184 wrote:Froome has already stated he wants to dominate for the next 6-7 years ....

Wiggo will never ride the tour again... And I doubt he will lead sky at the giro again and flat out refuses to do the VueltaInTheWoods wrote:That reminds me, what about Wiggo? I hope it is the start of a journey to greatness, that we have witnessed here, with no surprises.

He is losing time in the tt's at the moment though. He is only 57 kg and 166 cm according to wikipedia.
Hard to see how he will improve his strength in the tt without adding significant weight. Can only hope though he's great to watch.

Let's take the stage where they did Alpe d'Huez twice...
It would have been interesting to have broken that stage up into 2 substages where there is a break of an hour or so between climbs.
Having a break between climbs would allow riders to eat and regenerate.
Each climb would be then more like sprint climbs .. would be interesting
thanks KL

PETER SAGAN - Tour de France 2013 - Wheelie on Alpe d'Huez
Obviously he is a crowd favourite for good reason.
