And I've never seen a bike with a right hand side coaster brake.

Numerical order aside, would buy if needed one:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Vintage-Stey ... e5b&_uhb=1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Nice parts, but I think the start price is as high as it will go.

Aye, worth it in parts for that price.

I'm practically foaming at the mouth at this deal but this bicycle isn't moving any closer to me, nor is it getting any larger.
Dan, she's your size, I'm looking at you.

If that was closer to Brisbane... I would have bought it already, chances of getting a mate to go that far to get it are slim... :cry:

Strange.... I had been messaging the seller to see if I could pick it up in a few weeks when im in Brisbane. After a few messages he said thanks for your interest but you have been beaten to it. Yet the listing is still active :?

Nope :( . I just got back from a ride and had a reply from the bloke confirming the top tube length was my size and I was just about to log into ebay and buy it when I saw your post. Oh well, can't win em all.

The weird thing is the brake levers it has. Looks like a STI(maybe RSX), but its missing the smaller paddle.

a heads up for regular ebay buyers. bcmultisportplus.

http://stores.ebay.com.au/bcmultisportplus" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

check their feedback before you purchase.
http://feedback.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAP ... back&rt=nc" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

i bought some bars recently, and while the bars are as i expected, and the price was fair, it took over two weeks for the order to be processed.
if you're not in a hurry, that's fine, but if you expect your products to be sent shortly after you pay for them, perhaps reconsider who you're about to give your money to.

Apollo on Gumtree

"Worth $400 if restored", OK I'll bite. Rang up yesterday it's on the way home so I went to see it. Thought it would be a bit rough and small but MIT have some decent parts. Turned out to be tiny and had the worst paint job I've seen for a long time. Fortunately it ws too small and that was the easiest excuse to leave it there. More like $20 for some of the parts, but even they weren't very exciting.

Out of sheer curiosity I asked seller to post some brake caliper/fork crown pics. But then realised no mention of RD. :?

:| Vetta frame What's the verdict on that 'no dents or bends' claim? That looks like a textbook case of front end impact to me.

I was looking at that. What makes you think it's been in a buster? The rust near the steering tube would be from sweat I would have thought.

What Munga said. I only know that it looks exactly like that after watching it happen to one of my own frames :( The paint cracks and ripples right behind the head tube lugs (where the steel bends) usually on top and sometimes underneath too. The cracked paint then flakes away and two dirty great rust spots appear. Then you turn the frame into headset punch tools :twisted:
