Afraid this isn't exciting - there was a Road Safety Plan which is a like a vision and report on some short-term topics... virtually no commitments so not very satisfying but I think that is purpose - to provide some direction and following are tangible projects.

In any case, for people interest in the Sydney Northern Beach council and this project - here are the relevant links:

Could be called safety so without finding all the past guff on this will post here..
Can peoples please put some comments into this. Anybody really as bit tired and fed up of how long this has taken.
It really is an important thing for biking for younger people both in the area ton the beach and schools and any one else who would like to visit and bike about with or without kids. All these bits of infra help win other councils to do more and learn from past mistakes but we need to keep pushing, so...
Wont take that long to fill in a few words :-)

Might be more than a few upset about loss of parking, submissions are closing in a couple of days - https://yoursay.northernbeaches.nsw.gov ... freshwater.

Not keen on the proximity of pedestrian crossing poles in some images and bollards in the first image with a tactile ripple strip on one side, looks far too close to give adequate warning of camouflaged hazards. After getting a door scare there several months back and a hit and run death there a few years ago, better than the alternative I guess.

I like the raised crossings over road intersections as shown in the images, which makes it obvious to motorists that they are entering cyclist/pedestrian zone.
