Postby JB » Fri Jan 18, 2008 10:20 am

Just discovered this site - very useful for Groups to give members a chance to see the pain they are in for... see example of my group ride this Sat:

How does MapMyRide compare to Bikely? Anyone used both recently?

I started with Bikely until discovering mapmyride a few months ago.

I think mapmyride is slightly easier to use. Bikely seems a bit clunky/unresponsive at times, though that may just be my slow computer.

But I've only used both a handful of times, just to work out distances and elevations, and no saved routes. Probably others who have used it more often can comment.

I feel the same, my computer is pretty decent but at times Bikely doesn't work properly, routes disappear randomly. Maybe I'm not using it the correct way.

I didn't look too hard, but I didn't see the elevation option in MapMyRide. Anotheer case of old buffer's syndrome?

I had a good bike ... so I fixed it

I use bikely quite a lot, but will have a crack at this and see how they compare.

Mapmyride beats bikely hands down. Much easier and more consistent to make routes.
