Shimano mix and match

Postby toolonglegs » Mon Jul 08, 2013 2:57 am

DA7800 shifters, XTR 9 speed ( normal ) long cage dérailleur, 34-50 compact cranks, some sort of shimano compatible 11-34 cassette and 10 speed chain... On road bike.
Any issues anyone can see ?... Why?... Cause I want to spin up the Stelvio and even more so the Mortirolo (12.4km at 10.5% av )
It worked fine with 9 speed on my CX bike, all I would need is a cassette and new chain.

I can't forsee a problem.

I'd make a joke about using the road to go up those hills, but given my climbing prowess (hence the moniker) I'd probably be using all of those gears anyway.

Cheers,

Cameron.

Done... Went 11-32 so I could keep 11-12-14 instead of losing the 12...will only be on for 2 weeks then saved till winter where it will quickly be destroyed in CX :-)
