State Parliment "Nanny State" Select Committee - submit before 5 Oct

Postby Thoglette » Sat Sep 22, 2018 10:03 am

The Member for the South Metropolitan Region had a letter published in The West today, advising on the existence of the Select Committee on Personal Choice and Safety.

One of the items they are looking at is "outdoor recreation such as cycling and aquatic leisure".

Submissions will be accepted until 4pm on Friday 5th October either by mail to;
The Parliamentary Officer,
Select Committee on Personal Choice and Safety,
Parliament House, 4 Harvest Place, West Perth, 6005
or via email to pccs(at)parliament.wa.gov.au

(I will have cross posted to the MHL thread)

I missed this originally - what's the aim of this select committee as it pertains to cycling? Further entrenching things like MHL? Or debating removing them?

I didn't read the Hansard but it looks like Leyonhjelm Mk2 based on the committee's title "Select Committee on Personal Choice and Safety"

Some homework
