Bicycle Queensland
Bicycle Queensland is a non-profit, community and advocacy organisation promoting safe, everyday bicycle riding. We meet regularly with politicians and planners to persuade them to improve cycling facilities in Queensland. Bicycle Queensland also advises government engineers on suitable designs for cycling facilities. Bicycle Queensland supports programs encouraging cycling and making cycling more accessible to potential cyclists. Bicycle Queensland encourages and supports local groups lobbying for better cycling conditions in their area. Bicycle Queensland is a voice for cycling in Government, media and community circles. We are membership based – more members mean a bigger voice for cycling.
Bicycle Mackay
Bicycle Mackay works to obtain respect for cyclists. We want Mackay to be a place where it is just as easy to choose to ride a bicycle as it is to choose to drive a car. We want cycling to be a normal, everyday activity enjoyed by all.
The Bike Shed at Ceres
The Bike Shed at CERES (the Centre for Education and Research in Environmental Strategies) is an iconic Melbourne organisation, providing reliable and affordable bikes for over twenty years. Our aim is to promote cycling in the local community by teaching people how to fix their own bikes. The Bike Shed works like this: you become a Member for $5 unwaged, $10 waged or $13 a family or share house for a year. This allows you to buy a donated (used) bike. Cycling New South Wales
Cycling New South Wales is the governing body for cycling competition in New South Wales, with 62 affiliated clubs and over 8,000 affiliated members. It is affiliated with the national body, Cycling Australia. Cycling NSW and clubs offer comprehensive road and track race programmes for various categories of rider, from under 9 years, boys and girls through to men and women in their 60s and 70s.
