SRAM new MTB parts for 2010

The annual Sea Otter Classic, this year from April 16 – 19th in Monterey, California combines road and MTBing events together with an expo and lots of notable new product releases. SRAM are always a big name at Sea Otter and for their RockShox brand present a new Revalation fork and Ario rear suspension shock. In the Avid range, a new disc brake, the Elixir CR Mag has been added to the family.

RockShox Revelation
RockShox rolls out an entirely redesigned suspension fork – Revelation!  Revelation sets the standard for lightweight trail performance.  The 2010 Revelation features an all new chassis, and travel is increased to 150mm. New to the Revalation are:

– Chassis
– Travel increased to 150mm
– 1.5″ or 1.5-1 1/8″ tapered steerer options
– BlackBox? Motion Control
– Post mount disc brake
– Detented rebound adjust

RockShox Ario
Ario was first introduced in 2005, this all new version is the first in a line of new rear suspension products to come out of RockShox development. RockShox Ario is based on the lightweight Monarch rear shock chassis.  Ario 3.2 allows the rider to go from a very plush and compliant ride to a firm and effi cient lockout with the flip of a switch. New is:

–  Chassis
–  All Internals
–  1/2″ hard anodized 3 piece captured mounting hardware (same as Monarch and Vivid) AIR SOLO

Avid Elixir CR Mag
The Elixir CR Mag replaces Juicy Ultimate and features:

– Superlight magnesium lever body
– New carbon fiber lever with hollow pivot
– Updated master cylinder
– New U-Clamp
– Pad Contact-Point Adjustment
– Power Reserve Geometry
– Elixir power and modulation
– Adjustable banjo
– Semi-metalic pads.
