European Handmade Bicycle Exhibition 09 Roundup

The three day European Handmade Bicycle Exhibition that finished in the 10th of May can be considered a roaring success. Not only was it a massive undertaking for a small crew to organise their first exhibition and gain European and International interest and sport over 70 exhibitors, less than a week after closing, 80% of exhbitors have reserved space for the next show in 2010.

Indra Sarkar of 2Souls Cycle, a principle organiser of the EHBE comments, “We think of the “european” in EHBE as nothing more than the denomination of the place of happening (a surprisingly common question: why does MSH1, Seven… exhibit at a european show?), and there are quite a few Australian framebuilders who would be more than welcome to exhibit at EHBE2010…or 2011″

With Darren Baum of Baum Cycles in Geelong, Victoria or with wheelmaker specialist Velocity already catering to international orders, presentation within the lucrative European market is certainly an advantage. Compared to Eurobike and the other smaller trade shows, the EHBE is a cost effective alternative and provides a better opportunities to directly reach customers after custom bikes and gear.

Australian Exhibitors and visitors are formally invited to the EHBC in 2010.
