Tadej Valjavec Giro Diaries – Stage 16 & Rest Day

Yesterday, I obtained a good result for me and for the team. I was a little bit tired because since the beginning of the Giro the bunch rides very hard, but when I looked around me I saw that all riders were tired too! By comparison with some of these riders I was well in this stage. 3 kilometers before the finish line I needed sugar but I succeeded in finishing stage correctly.

Today, I’m training during 3 hours to keep the rhythm but I relaxed too.

Tomorrow, stage will be short but very important for leaders. I don’t know this stage but it seems to be an ascent very long but not so steep.

Normally, I’m less successful on short stages than on long ones. I prefer stages as yesterday but I’m well for two weeks and I’m resolutely optimistic. I can improve my general classification. Arroyo isn’t far away but I have to be careful to riders as Bruseghin who is after me on classification but he’s strong on time-trial. Giro isn’t finished yet!
