Team Diary: Fuji Servetto on Giro Stage 11

Fuji-Servetto’s Davide Vigano placed in 6th position at the 11th stage of the Centenary Giro d’Italia, in the 214-km route from Torino to Arenzano. Vigano rode with the leaders for his fourth top-ten placement in this year’s Corsa Rosa, while the mass sprint was taken by Mark Cavendish (Columbia) in his 2nd stage win in the 2009 edition of the Italian grandtour.

The GC experienced minor changes, as Kessiakoff now takes in 18th place while Danilo di Luca (LPR) leads the overall ranks before tomorrow’s monster time trial from Sestri Levante to Riomaggiore (Crono delle Cinque Terre), as the riders climb two hard hills in the 61.7-km route.
