Following the conclusion of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya (Tour of Catalonia), the fourteenth race of the UCI World Calendar, which took place in Spain from May 18th-24th, the new UCI world rankings have been released.
Alejandro Valverde of Team Caisse d’Epargne took the tour win with a narrow lead of 15 seconds on Daniel Martin (Garmin-Slisptream) and Haimar Zubeld?a (Astana) trailing close behind.
The German rider, Heinrich Hausslre of Cerv?lo TestTeam has a narrow lead in the UCI World ranings closely followed by Davide Rebellin and Alejandro Valverde.
