The International Cycling Union UCI is preparing to announce the names of riders found to be doping under the biological passport program. They noted that the riders will be dealt with as if they tested positive in a typical doping control.
"The riders will be informed early next week," said UCI president Pat McQuaid, according to AFP. "We will inform their teams and national federations. We will [then] name the riders and will start disciplinary proceedings against them."
The names of the riders and teams have not been released but should be announced early next week.
The UCI and ASO have also agreed on a doping program for the Tour de France. There will be 300 to 400 doping controls that will take place before the race and some riders will be tested twice.
