The first mountain stage of the Tour de France has been rather good for Luis Le?n S?nchez, who finished the stage in 32nd place, 4’31” behind the Frenchman Brice Feillu who was the first at the top of Andorra Arcalis. The rider from Murcia is now the 24th in the overall classification, 4’10” behind the new yellow jersey, the Italian Rinaldo Nocentini.
“I suffered a Little bit at the very beginning of the stage. My legs were very hard. I believe it was a consequence of the rain which felt yesterday but I immediately found the right rhythm and I felt pretty well during the entire day. But of course it is obvious that when you are not at hundred percent in a mountain stage of the Tour de France, it is almost impossible to finish with the very best. Now that that I believe I have to forget the overall classification I will try to go with a breakaway to try and win a stage. The one of tomorrow between Andorra and Saint-Girons is one of the best to try that. I know the course because I saw it just before taking part in the Route du Sud. It should logically be a good opportunity for the breakers and I hope to be one of them.”
