Team Barloworld’s reaction to the “Theo Bos sentence”

Team Barloworld manager Claudio Corti was satisfied with the sentence, especially the UCI’s decision to punish dangerous behaviour but adds: “It’s strange that the statement doesn’t mention the damage caused to our rider Daryl Impey or to Team Barloworld. It says that damage was only done to cycling and to the UCI”.

“I don’t want to discuss the length of the ban but I think it’s important to remember that because of the crash caused by Bos at the Tour of Turkey, Daryl Impey’s season has been badly affected. He was unable to take part in the Giro d’Italia and was bedridden for two months while Bos continued to race and win.”
