Sea 2 Summit 248km Charity Challenge

The 248km Merimbula to Mount Kosciuszko Sea 2 Summit challenge that supports children with cancer and their families takes place on Saturday 19th November 2011. The ride involves 5,500 metres climbing as participants travel from sea level at Merimbula’s coast to the highest point in Australia.

The distance and altitude also introduces the potential for drastically changing weather conditions – warm sea breezes to snowy alpine conditions.

"Riders are drawn to the event as not everyone will make it to the top – training, mental toughness and the elements play a huge part of the challenge" explains Damian Heman, Sea 2 Summit Challenge Founder.

Since the first ride in 2006, the Sea 2 Summit has raised over $230,000 for Redkite which provides emotional, financial and educational support for families with children battling cancer.
