that would be opposite bell bird picnic area.jules21 wrote:ouch. whereabouts was that log blakey?
the thing when riding these areas is to always scope out trails before you fang it. not good busting a carbon wheel, expensive wheels probably aren't ideal in certain areas of YTs, and a cx has no tyre to absorb impact.

So, a late update: all of the signs except one 'cyclists dismount' are gone... I was referred to someone from Parks but never followed up.
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe

I was riding around the the Studley Park area this morning and was wondering what I was actually allowed to ride on.
According to this map most of the trails are for walkers only.

The general consensus amongst the cycling community is ride wherever you want. There doesn't seem to be anyone who has authority to stop you. Be kind to walkers.

Just be cautious about this now more than ever. As MTB and outdoor enthusiasts we are currently enjoying a positive and productive relationship with Parks Vic who manage some of this land. The other relevant bodies tend to follow.SuperSix wrote:The general consensus amongst the cycling community is ride wherever you want. There doesn't seem to be anyone who has authority to stop you.
