Cycling groups - 7 Peaks

Postby coreykn » Mon Nov 16, 2015 12:54 pm

Hi,

I was wondering how I would go about finding groups of riders that are heading out to do the various 7 peak rides?

I would rather go with a group of people than by myself.

Cheers

Corey

why not join a cycling club? if you have friends who ride, you can go with them, but otherwise join a club - that's why they exist.

I've seen a few pics of the 'Rowville Riders' club members doing them-( Lake mountain last weekend & some did Buller as well). I'm not a member or don't ride with them though so not sure exactly what they have planned. The are a few rides on the Audax calender that will get you up a few of them as well.

You have just missed the first one, but http://domestiquecycling.cc/rides/domes ... ks-series/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; are running another ride at the end of the season for 7peaks people.

I'm going to be having a crack at the rides this year - need to figure out logistics of people and times though.

Definitely a shame to only have the 2 events this year. Would be interesting to see if fewer people do all 7 this year.

the people who run those events do it out of the goodness of their hearts, they aren't paid. they couldn't commit to all 7 this year, I read.

Yeah, huge amounts of time are put in, all for the love of climbing.
There was a tease in the ride report, hopefully about more events.
