I organise a couple of cruisey road rides a year around Stanthorpe and the next one is Saturday the 25th of August. This one is different only in that I have a route that is deliberately nearly half local decomposed granite dirt roads. When it is not corrugated this is a joy to ride on...some sections are a bit rough at the moment but others are smooth. Feel free to come and spend some money in the countryside and enjoy the beautiful scenery and quiet back roads.
Starts at 9am from the PO in the middle of town, easy 3hrs drive from Brisbane. Approximately 70ks circuit with most of the uphill in the first 10klm. Free..you are responsible for your own food spares and safety, but if you P M me I can have a route sheet for you in case you are very slow or want to stop along the way or shortcut.
Sunday 26th there is also the Ride Run Pedal event up Condamine River Road near Killarney so make a weekend of it?
