It should be noted that Cambridge has a high concentration of cyclists who commute regularly.
I should also have noted that it would be interesting to see what the results are of this initiative and the ratio of cyclists to drivers charged with traffic offences.
Will it catch on here....lol

I recall when discussion of the roll out of 1m passing law in qld was in the news, the senior police spokesperson (iirc, it wasnt the commissioner, but someone approaching that level) went on the record to reporters as saying he had no idea how to go about enforcing the law (in the comments section of the article, I suggested he try google. Police in the UK and even some parts of the states have been doing this and similar things for years).
