To me a code is only useful if you can take it to a painter who can make up paint to match.
As an example one of my favourite car colours is Sebring Blue, but unless the painter has the Dulux sheet that says how to make the colour, it doesn't help much.
It is tough enough with old cars, but there are far fewer people re-spraying old bikes.
So damhooligan what information would you need in order to reproduce a colour or indeed a colour scheme?
