My 705 nipple cracked about 18 months ago, so I pulled it apart and found it was board-mounted to the PCB. Upgraded to the 800 happily enough, but my son found the 705 and loves it. Works fine, just not waterproof anymore.
Any ideas where I can get a replacement nipple/board? I don't really see the point in getting a refurbed complete unit from Garmin.

$125 for a reconditioned unit. The nipple boot on mine split and eventually the poor thi g died on a wet ride.
Kept my colleagues amused for hours with the noises it made over the last few hours of ifs life (not).
The one I got back looked like a brand new unit.

Thanks bychosis, I'd searched ebay, but I guess you never know what people will call things. BTW NEVER search Ebay for "nipple".

I don't yet have cracking around the nipple but around the buttons I just sealed them with aquaseal. Works ok so far.

Swapped over from another 705 - donated a case backing too. Works like a charm.
