Postby mark field » Mon Apr 08, 2024 9:16 pm

Greetings, its been a while since i posted so forgive me for not having a picture ( forgotten how) - i have come into possession of a Batavus women's bicycle, SA 3speed hub is stamped 84, i wanted to take some parts off it and give the rest away, is the brand of any interest?

Sounds like a 'standard' Dutch roadster as used extensively in the Netherlands for day to day use.
Well used Batavus roadster cycles were up there with Gazelle by numbers in the South of the Netherlands when I was working there. Probably unusual in Oz but not exciting in Europe.
Batavus lightweight <sic> racing/touring bicycles on the other hand would interest me greatly :P

100% agree.
Famous Dutch brand.
I would LOVE a Batavus Professional for my collection!
