Mereenie Loop Road

Postby Ela » Sat Nov 11, 2023 11:03 pm

Hi

I could find out, that permits for the are Mereenie Loop Road "are available for purchase in person only in Kings Canyon at the Discovery Park service station and at Kings Creek Station."

Does anyone know, if you get a permit, when travelling by pushbike? It would be a pity to ride the long way to Kings Canyon (this is were I would come from as I will travel from south to north) and not to getan permit.

Is there anything else I need to know before I cycle this road? Offroad experince is available!

Kind Regards

Ela

Maybe but you might get weird looks from someone....

There was a bloke who had done it 10 years ago.

And there's another thread from this forum in 2013.

You should be able to get a permit, but it might be worth calling ahead to confirm for peace of mind.
