Sydney weather this morning!!!

Went out this morning on another errand and while warm and humid it was OK, Glad I did it in the morning as the heavens just opened and the heavy rain was sideways! Bet the velomobile would have been sideways too given our 4 storey high gumtree was seriously considering non-vertical directions.

Got 1 hour ride in with just some light rain in the last couple of kilometres to home.

It's pouring again so I didn't bother going outside, 1 hour is hardly worth it for a messy bike and dealing with slippery conditions.

I don't like indoor cycling on weekends though.

Been off the bike for 5 days with back muscle problem so 1 hour taking it easy was all I wanted. Roads here were OK for riding. It has been raining consistently since I got back.

Hope all is okay with the back. I've also had a few issues with that - getting old is annoying!

Thanks. It always my right Quadratus Lumborum that spasms and tightens up. Been to physio twice already and will go again on Monday. Doing the stretches again (that I really should do all the time) which helps. Plus using TENS machine which also helps.
Yes, getting old is annoying but the alternative is worse.

Indeed it will be - for me I'll have a 20kph headwind on the way home as well as the temperature.

Out today for a couple of short rides. Hot but OK unless I was stopped when the heat radiating off the road was a killer.

Topped near 30 as I got home at 10:30am. It was 18C at 6:30am so nobody was too surprised and everyone had plenty of water and such.

There was talk in the media yesterday of La Niña coming back. If this happens then it will be a wet few months.

I took a punt this morning after checking the radar at 6am and scored a lucky two hour riding window with only a few drops of rain. But there was a lot of surface water and puddles so the bike will need a thorough clean and rewax.

I went for a bit over two hour ride. For first 70 mins roads were dry or drying and great riding conditions. Second half of ride had some light drizzle and then light rain showers but still enjoyable riding. Managed to get back on track with my yearly km target with today's ride. More rain forecast for the week so its longer rides when the weather permits.

It looked a bit dubious this morning. I didn't bother going out - but second thoughts maybe I should have. Instead smashed myself on Zwift tonight. Looks like the rain is well into next week. The whole rest of summer might be rained out.

Forecast is terrible but the radar is looking ok. I'm WFH today so might try for a long ride around lunch time, and after that break I'll only need another hour or so to hit my 35 hours for the week. An advantage of working for big brother and having a flex time system.

I wouldn't get away with that, we have people who spend time watching the online status of everyone all day and are quick to jump on those who aren't "active".

Just back from 2:20 ride. All dry but looking much darker with rain imminent now.
Just have to keep dodging the showers for next few days.
