Hi All

As the title suggests I am looking at upgrading my exiting indoor "wind" trainer up to a Indoor Trainer with power. I have been attending a spin class with bluetooth power display on the trainers LED panel screen for us all to see and use the data in the class. Is there anything out there of good quality for a fair price that I can use at home with my tv or laptop.

Bill

I think the Kickr is probably the best, unless you want to get a Computrainer. Kickr uses a cassette and chain, so no burning up your rear tyres. 8)

Why limit yourself to power on just the trainer? Keep the existing trainer and buy a PM for the bike.

Yeah, that would be my suggestion unless you want erg mode (forced to target power by making resistance vary inversely to cadence). And if you want to ride virtual downhills (speed up on coasting, although who knows why you would...), I think Tacx is the only option.

Check out Avio Powersense powermeters - you ship your crank to them in the UK and they fit it for you and send it back. Its like Stages or 4iiii and its only about 450AUD - then you can use it outside as well!!
