The inaugural Australian Cycling Expo will be held on Friday the 17th February to Sunday the 19th February 2012, co-located with the Australian Motorcycle Expo at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre.
This exciting, and innovative event offers South East Qld / Northern NSW public to attend a world class Cycling exhibition. Co-Located with the successful Australian Motorcycle Expo Gold Coast , these two great shows will offer close to 15,000 sqm metres of exhibition space combined with additional live demonstration areas including, Extreme zone featuring Freestyle Moto X, BMX Big Jib and jumps, BMX Flatland, Bike Polo, Motorcycle Trials, Push Bike Trials, live Jet ski shows plus Test ride facilities for Adults and Childrens for both Cycling and Motorcycle.
One entry ticket will allow you to travel freely between the the Cycling and Motorcycle Shows. The Australian Cycling Expo is a consumer based event showcasing the latest in Bicycles plus accessories, related products and services.
With many interactive displays and the numureous live zones the show will suit the novice cyclists to the most professional. The Australian Cycling Expo Gold Coast will premier as the new hub for everything and anything, bicycles & cycling social and competitive, Road, Off Road, Triathlon, Track, Closed course, Urban and obsticles along with accessories and related services.
More than an just an exhibition, the Australian Cycling Expo will be complimented by a number of external cycling events taking place within the Gold Coast over the same weekend. Road Cycling, BMX, Mountain Bikes, Cyclocross and general public cycling participation rides will allow enthusiast wishing to travel interstate to attend along with Sth East Queensland or local Gold Coast cyclists the opportunity to take part in. Creating a “Gold Coast Cycling Festival†offering the public and industry Australia wide the opportunity to gather in Australia’s lifestyle capital Queensland’s Gold Coast.

This has been cancelled for the 17th -20th Feb 2012. The Motorcycle expo will be continuing. Shame - was looking forward to it.

I attempted to contact the organisers for more info when it was first announced, didn't hear back and subsequenrly forgot.
