gt aggressor seat post height
Postby gilson65 » Mon Dec 02, 2013 10:02 am
Just purchased the aggressor 24 inch for my son looking in the manual it has a minimum and maximum marks for the seat post.I know you have to make sure seat post has minimum mark not to be visible. But minimum height maximum insertion mark should be showing leaving about 80 mm between seat and frame. When I fitted my son to bike seat was at its lowest height.Lbs said it was ok.Basically can a seat be used at the lowest height.

I can't think of any rational reason why not. But it might depend on the post - if the diameter changes toward the top (eg gets narrower) and it doesn't get clamped properly it might slip suddenly?

Thanks Mattyk yeah bike put away for Xmas always knew you have to have seat post below top tube but notice in manual says minimum 80mm between seat and frame as well.Won't take long for that to happen.Post seems same diameter within a couple of mm where saddle attaches.
