CX in Manly is going off!!
Didn't know about this till too late but the kiddies race had heaps of punters.
Well done to one and all for the event, the loco and the course. (no mud but still looks like fun).

Brief report of the day up on Bike Radar
http://www.bikeradar.com/au/road/news/a ... fun-38490/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Very exciting racing first up with the under 19 boys, with Guy Frail and Tom Green staying together the whole race, finishing in a sprint with half a wheel between them.
Then in the Mens races a Group of 5 had formed with Sid Taberlay, Nick Both, Garry Milburn, Oli Whalley and Carl Fokkema (Masters 1,2) riding together for about half the race before punctures first saw Oli and the Garry loose touch, (Garry had a particularly sloppy wheel change so lost a lot of time). Carl moved to the front for a little while until with 3 laps to go Nick lit it up and broke the group apart, Garry was chasing hard and eventually hauled in first Carl, almost catching Sid with 3 laps to go.

Managed to get to this race. It was of the best days bike racing I've ever watched. Cyclocross is an amazing discipline. Healthy crowds. Manly Council have excelled them selves allowing this in such a fantastic location.
