skinsuit

Postby Parrott » Wed Nov 05, 2008 10:21 pm

After much searching on the internet I decided to get one of these. Got it in the mail today and seems pretty good and fits well. Might come in handy for track riders, I will be using it for our summer season tt's. Got some rock 'n' roll gold on recommendation from this site to get the total up over 100 and no postage charge.
I don't have any assoc with them just thought they are reasonably priced and you might be interested. :)

train in a jersey and knicks, but in your two last trainings before a race and the race itself, wear your skinnie. its something like 12 watts p/ kilo less energy usage with one on. i love mine. and my gold rocknroll =].

if you're looking for something else to get your time down (assuming you're doing tt's and not tri's. get the SIDI (or similar) chrono booties. thats another 8 watts p/ kilo you'll save.
actually im going to find the graph where i found this information off of.

that said, there is no substitute for a good set of legs. =]

let us know how you go in it!

I think the skinsuit works, I bettered my course pb by 13 secs in it, favourable conditions though. If nothing else you feel faster in it with no flapping clothing. I'd like to see that info if you can find it, thanks.

I've already got the overbooties and a lazer helmet. Recently got a 2nd hand rear disc so sound fast as well now

haha sorry my mistake. 13 seconds is a great improvement over 8 ks though, the value of your improvement is relative to the total time. =]
