Pretty much this. I have more than one bike. If everything was frame mounted I’d either need multiple spares for each bike or to swap them around.

What no coffee !! :?
Yeah wallet is a bit bulky, usually more like phone, a $20 note and ID in a zip lock bag, more for emergencies than anything else :D

Got a CA licence this year instead of MTBA and it came with 2 extra ID cards with all phone numbers, next of kin etc etc. They look like they will take a few rounds through the washing machine. Confident there will be some wheel sucker out on the road with a phone should i ever need one

What about a loaded backpack?

When you are short on time and the commute home becomes a a longer ride, that's what happens.

There's a guy who tours desolate roads where you might not see anyone all day. Amongst the other stuff he carries is a second bike pump, in case the first one breaks and he learn't that trick the hard way
If the R-1 rule is broken, what happens to N+1?

Saddle bag with spare tube, CO2 and small puncture kit on all my bikes. More room in the jersey pockets.
Leyzne micro caddy on a couple and a bbb something on the other.
Stops me forgetting shlt too.
Care factor about whether it's kosher or not.

I have one of those somewhere. Bought it for my touring bike but never used it.

My view... it depends on what you do with your bike singular. Most here are probably talking plural. So I, unfortunately can't contend in the p...... contest.

Big talk about your light weight aero dynamic display might be ok if you have several bikes.

I have just one. It is a bit hard to go down the market and fit 10 kg of veggies into my alleged jersey pocket. :)

A bunch of silver beet down the tee shirt itches after a while and a mango tend to leak a bit if squashed. :)

So I just leave the bags on all the time and call it me ute. :D
