Retro friendly bike shops?

Postby Stovepipe » Wed Dec 16, 2020 8:15 pm

Adelaide locals,
I've got an old peugeot frame to do up for a family member for Xmas. Just found the powdercoater got the driveside threads too which is causing all sorts of grief. Not too mention the seat tube inner which is making the seatpost struggle (nervous about trying to give it a knock in - i know thats not kosher).

Any shops that might have the tool to re-tap the BB shed thread, sell old seatpost bolts, odd sized seatposts, that sort of thing?

Assistance greatly appreciated.

cheers

International Cycles, 70 Payneham Road, Stepney would be worth a chat.

I stumbled across a home based store "Northern Vintage Cycles" out at Elizabeth. Haven't used them yet, but im a conversation I had with the owner, he was more very helpful
