Hi, I'm visiting from Virginia, USA. i'm considering riding from Sydney to Phillip Island, Victoria the last two weeks of March. I have 10 days to do the approximately 600 miles. Does anyone have experience riding the Princess Highway? I'm experienced cyclist. Is there a reasonable shoulder most of the way? Are there many ways to get off A1 via smaller country roads or bike paths for any sections. I'm aware of the trail south of Orbost - Bairnsdale trail.
