Ripped up College St cycleway to be rebuilt again
Postby g-boaf » Thu Oct 07, 2021 11:09 am
So they build a cycleway, then the government rips it up, then another one is proposed and cancelled and now the ripped up cycleway is going to be rebuilt again?
Complete madness - double handling. Little wonder nothing ever happens in this space.

The Triffids “Spanish Blue” (1982)Nothing happens here
Nothing gets done
But you get to like it
You get to like the beating of the sun
The washing of the sun
In Spanish blue

More like a ploy to prevent building it totally. If they were given money to build it, then they must be held to account. If they don’t deliver, then the council heads should face disciplinary action.

Jeezus.....hope they don't name it "Duncan Gay Memorial" that would be a stinker considering that asshat ripped the original up in the first place.find_bruce wrote: ↑Tue Aug 02, 2022 11:58 amRode along College St this morning & the first block of the Duncan Gay memorial bike path is almost complete
Who is responsible for which roads? If the SCC is then how can the State gove can come in to destroy a council project ? Whats the point then to have a City Council.
As much as i detested Andrew Constance for the privatisation of Sydney's bus services, at least he was somewhat in favour of cycling routes in the City.

I hope they do! I think it would be perfect, in the middle finger kind of way.
Kind of like naming your pet alligator Fluffy - because he isn't.

13 minutes? Can someone summarise it in under 200 words and save me (and everyone following) 12 minutes and 45 seconds?

Interesting little video.
Not overly familiar with Sydney, but getting bicycle infrastructure done correctly is usually a struggle in most places in Australia (from what I have seen)
Videos such as this are a start in the right direction I think

Hmm, okay, I thought I was being quite critical with that comment. Evidently my expectations weren't low enough.
