I saw the security guy yesterday and complained about it, this morning the gates were already open at 6:45am so maybe he listened.

I explained that the diversion is lengthy and not particularly safe.

It's amazing, no cycling exists outside of the Sydney CBD or the inner-Sydney confines. Or at least it doesn't if you go by the SMH article.

Get outside of the CBD and you can ride 150km or more if you want on off-road cycleways.

According to the Dutch guy. Well it's also very unhelpful when a car driver kills two innocent bike riders and gets away from it with a $1000 fine.

Or getting the Operation Pedro day special treatment... Surely they could tackle him to the ground and give him a heavy fine.

I was always lucky on those days - I avoided the normal cycling commute routes and used main roads (my normal thing anyway) so I never had to deal with them.

These days I just don't ride to work at all after surgery last year.
